The Guest House Alta Mar

The Alta Mar guest house is a very large apartment located on the first floor of a colonial house facing the sea on the famous Malecón promenade, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has three rooms, one on the promenade side with sea view and two on the patio side (inner courtyard).

The apartment has a living room, a very large kitchen, a bathroom (shower, toilet), a dining room with 3 arcade windows with a beautiful view to the sea and the Malecón Avenue.

Superbly located in the center of Havana (Centro Habana district), the Altamar guesthouse is well connected to all parts of the city (Old Havana and Vedado). It is located at the foot of the Malecón, the famous avenue that borders the sea, in its so-called “traditional” part.

It is ideal for couples, families or groups of friends as it can be rented as a whole.

The house is fully furnished and arranged: there is a television with DVD player, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, washing machine, iron and hi-fi system.

Detailed description of the Altamar guest house: it has very spacious rooms with a ceiling height of 5 meters except for the room on the sea side with indirect sea view through the dining room. It has a living room, a dining room with sea view, three bedrooms with a double bed, a large kitchen, a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The rooms have modern air conditioning and a fan as well as a large cupboard. The dining room opens through three arched patio doors to a spinning balcony overlooking the Malecón with sea views. It also opens into the interior of the apartment through two arches to the kitchen and bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms are accessed through two French windows onto a spinning balcony overlooking the very quiet patio of the colonial house.

The balcony is perfect for sunbathing during the day while enjoying the view of the sea and the city. It allows you to sit and watch the fishermen, the pelicans and the passers-by; and to enjoy the fresh air (“El terral”) of the Malecon Avenue, where the inhabitants of Havana love to walk and come to rest every evening. You also have access to the huge terrace on the top floor!
